Funeral Mass for Mrs. Agnes Irene Fisher, age 68, of Watertown, SD will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2007 in the Immaculate Conception Church, Watertown, SD. Fr. James Bream will officiate. Agnes passed away on July 12, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the widow of Bernard Fisher.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Honorary pallbearers will be Agnes’ grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be: Danny Busskohl, Randy Busskohl, Mike Busskohl, Vince Althoff, Darwin Althoff, and Irvin Schoenwetter. Music will be provided by Leanne Geissenger, organist and the Immaculate Conception Church Choir. Visitation will in the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown, SD on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Scripture Wake Service at 5 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday prior to services at the church. The family is requested to meet at the church on Monday by 9:30 a.m. to attend the services. Agnes was born on August 7, 1938 in Codington County, SD to Timothy “Leo” and Malinda (Steuck) McMahon. She attended school in Summit, SD. She married Bernard Fisher on July 29, 1954 at Fayetteville, AR. Following marriage, the couple lived in Michigan from 1966 until returning to Watertown, SD in 1973. They moved to Florence, SD in 2000 and returned to Watertown in 2007. Agnes was employed at Minnesota Rubber for twenty-six years until retiring in 1999. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the local union. Agnes enjoyed being with her family, watching football and NASCAR, playing bingo, sewing, playing pinochle, quilting, and find a word puzzles. She was also a country music fan. Agnes is survived by two sons, Timothy Fisher of Watertown, SD and Edwin and his wife, Penny Fisher, of Florence, SD; two daughters, Bonny Jean Hall of Watertown, SD and Bernadine and her husband, Roy Walsh, of Watertown, SD; two sisters, Rose Althoff of Watertown, SD and Margaret VanGilder of Hutchinson, MN; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and several aunts and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; one daughter, Terry Lynn; one son, Edward Dean, and her parents. |
