 Funeral services for Roger A. Moyer, age 58, of Watertown, SD will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2007 in the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown. Pastor Jim Biswell will officiate. Music will be provided by Peggy Biswell, organist, with congregational hymns. Roger passed away on August 20, 2007 at a hospital in Yankton, SD.
Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Pallbearers will be: Gary Stickle, Russell Harms, Terry Kelly, and Roger Skatvold. Visitation will be in the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown, SD on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and preceding services at the chapel on Friday. The family is requested to meet at the chapel on Friday by 10:30 a.m. for a prayer service. Roger was born on April 27, 1949 at Watertown, SD to Mervin and Dorothy (Selchert) Moyer. He attended a rural school near South Shore, SD. Following his school days, he farmed with his father at Castlewood, SD and Hazel, SD until 1985. At that time he moved to Sioux Falls, SD and worked at John Morrell Co. and Stewarts. He returned to Watertown in 1995 and worked at various jobs. Roger is survived by his mother, Dorothy Moyer of Watertown, SD; two sisters: Pamela and her husband, Keith Holscher, of Oakes, ND, and Donna and her husband, Raymond Engelhart, of Waubay, SD; and two nieces: Jennifer Engelhart of Bristol, SD, and Angela and her husband, Bryan Kutzer of Bismarck, ND. He was preceded in death by his father, Mervin. |
