Beverly Beth Gramberg was born on February 11, 1934 at Willow Lake, SD to Lynn and Beth (Elliott) Bailey. The family lived in Willow Lake and later moved to Watertown where Bev attended and graduated from Watertown High School. Following graduation, she worked at Midland National Life. During this time, Bev met her husband of 52 years.

On September 25, 1955, Bev married Clarence Gramberg in the Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown. They raised four children: Cynthia, Scott, Sandra and Kelly. Bev was a homemaker during her children’s school years where they lived on a farm outside of Ortley, SD. Once the children were grown, Bev went to work at Midcom for over 16 years. She was presently employed in the maintenance department at the Codington County Courthouse.

Bev was very devoted to her family and that kept her life busy. She cared for all of the grandchildren, during her lifetime, and enjoyed every minute of it. She loved to work outside, tending to her garden and flower beds. Bev and Clarence like to travel to polka festivals in their 5th-wheel and visiting with family in various locations along the way. Bev spent a lot of free time working on word puzzles. Before Bev’s death, they had planned to attend their grandson’s wedding in Phoenix, AZ.

Over the years, she participated in her church circles and taught Sunday school and Bible school. Bev took up a new hobby, after 70, learning how to bowl and played on a league. She was an active member of the Le Rouge Chapeaux Red Hat Group, attending the meetings, conventions and just plain having fun. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for many years.

Bev lived life to the fullest and always saw the good in people. She made everyone feel comfortable with her kind demeanor. Bev has moved on to a new chapter in her life to be with the Lord.

Bev is survived by her husband, Clarence, and one son, Scott, and his wife, Peggy Gramberg all of Watertown, SD; two daughters: Cynthia Gramberg and her husband, Jeff Murray, of St. Petersburg, FL and Sandra and her husband, Pete Soto, of Phoenix, AZ; eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Kelly; one granddaughter, Becky Erickson; her parents and one sister, Evelyn Vickers.
