David was born on February 2, 1965 at Iowa City, Iowa to Donald E. and Beverly (McInroy) Clark. He attended Columbia Basin College in Richland, WA. During his life he lived in the states of Iowa, Ohio, Illinois, Washington and New York. David was an accomplished musician/guitarist and a very gifted chef. He loved life and being with his family. In his difficult struggle for life, he showed exceedingly great courage and he was a true inspiration to those medical professionals who worked so hard to save him in the last months of his life, especially those at the University of Washington Medical Center. David was blessed with many talents, including those of musical and written poetic expression, and a sincere caring heart. He will be missed by many persons with whom he came into contact, especially during his last two years of failing health.

David is survived by one daughter, Amanda Clark, of Columbus, Ohio; his parents, Donald and Marlene, of Springfield, Illinois; one sister, Deborah A. and her husband, Chris Mosby, of Tupelo, Mississippi; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his former wives: Julie Jung of Columbus, Ohio and Sharolyn Schmidt of Lansing, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly and his grandparents.
