Florentine L. Pike Funeral Mass for Florentine L. Pike, age 72, of Watertown, SD will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 in the Immaculate Conception Church, Watertown, SD. Fr. James Bream will officiate. Florentine passed away on January 25, 2008 at a hospital in Watertown, SD. She was the widow of Harold Pike.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Pallbearers will be: Tommy Sommer, Scott Muntefering, Travis Kittelson, Francis Bartscher, Billy Shape, and Scott Larson. Music will be provided by the Immaculate Conception Choir.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. The family is requested to meet at the church by 12:30 p.m.

Florentine was born on January 4, 1936 at Dimock, SD to Mathew and Mary (Schmidt) Weber. She attended school near Dimock, SD. Following school, she lived in Mitchell, SD and worked at St. Joseph Hospital.

Florentine married Harold Pike on April 11, 1961 at Luverne, MN. Following their marriage, the couple lived on a farm near Platte, SD. They moved to Mitchell, SD and later lived on various farms in eastern South Dakota until moving to Watertown, SD in 1993.

Florentine was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, gardening, puzzle books, playing cards, reading, visiting and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons: Charles and his wife, Lisa Pike, of Rapid City, SD and Mark and his wife, Patricia Pike, of Henry, SD; two daughters: Peggy Pike and Mary Pike both of Watertown, SD; a daughter-in-law, Jean Pike of Watertown, SD; one brother, Gerald and his wife, Lois Weber, of Mitchell, SD; three sisters: MaryAnn Sommers of Parkston, SD, Lorraine and her husband, Allen Muntefering, of Parkston, SD, and Delores and her husband, Harold Leitheiser of Emery, SD; nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Florentine was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Chester; one brother Edwin, and her parents.
