Funeral services for Ramona Zick, age 78, of San Antonio, TX, will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2008 in the Cornerstone United Methodist Church, Watertown, SD. Rev. Roger Spahr will officiate. Music will be provided by Sandy Dingsor, organist and Rhonda Mund, soloist. Ramona passed away on Friday, February 15, 2008 at a care center in San Antonio, TX.
Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown. Honorary pallbearers will be: Charles Zick, III, Stephan Dawson, Matthew Skopik, Keith Skopik and Kyle Dawson. Active pallbearers will be Glenn Thiele, Ronnie Schnackenberg, Dwayne Strohfus, Roy Thiele, Virgil Meyers and Harold Bunde. Visitation will be on Thursday at 11:30 a.m., at the church, prior to the service. The family is requested to meet at the church on Thursday by 1:00 p.m. to attend the services. Ramona was born on April 15, 1929 at Watertown, SD to Oscar and Verdie (Yocom) Schnackenberg. On March 21, 1948 Ramona married Charles Zick at Watertown, SD. She was a long time member and organist of the Weidner Road Baptist Church in San Antonio. Ramona retired from 24 years of service with the NE ISD in San Antonio. Ramona is survived by her husband, Charles, of San Antonio, TX; two sons: Charles Zick, Jr. and Kevin Zick both of San Antonio, TX; one daughter, Robin Daugherty, of Floresville, TX; two brothers: Charles Schnackenberg and Harvey Schnackenberg both of Watertown, SD; five grandchildren: Tammy and her husband, Gary Engel, of Floresville, TX; Wendy and her husband, Larry Skopik, of Elm Mott, TX; Emily Zick of Boerne, TX; Cassie Brothers of San Antonio, TX and Charles Zick III of San Antonio, TX and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Donald; and one grandson, David Brian. |
