Funeral mass for Sharon Ann (Mrs. George) Heller, age 71, of Watertown, SD will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2008 in the Holy Name Catholic Church, Watertown. Fr. John Lantsberger will officiate. Music will be provided by Donna Williams, organist, Blaine Martian, song leader and Kala Heller, soloist. Sharon passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at her residence.
Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Watertown. Pallbearers will be Sharon’s grandchildren: Ben, Justin and Dylan Heller and Jacob, Nathan and Casey Saunders. Visitation will be in the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown, on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Wake service and will resume on Thursday prior to services at the church. The family is requested to meet at the church on Thursday by 10:00 a.m. for a prayer service. Memorials may be directed to Prairie Lakes Hospice. Born on January 12, 1937 to Louis “Louie” and Marguerite “Mugs” (Husebo) Hrubesh in Eau Claire, WI, Sharon was the oldest of three children. Born and raised in Eau Claire, she attended Catholic school and graduated from Regis High School. As a freshman there, she met, began dating and fell in love with the man she would be happily married to for the next 51 years. On February 23, 1957, Sharon married George Heller at Eau Claire, WI. Sharon’s main vocation in life was being a wonderful wife and mother. She also worked outside the home at St. Ann’s Hospital, the Watertown Regional Library, Watertown Jr. High School and Watertown Sr. High School. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. Sharon had many joys in life. She was an avid photographer, card player and soap opera fan. Sharon cherished her time at the lake, golfing, fishing and watching sunsets. She nurtured many close and cherished friendships throughout the years. She has touched all of us with her zest for life, the importance of family and the inspiration of her strength and her strong faith. Sharon is survived by her husband, George, of Watertown, SD; three sons: Jim and his wife, Michala Heller, of Aberdeen, SD; Jeff and his wife, Shelli Heller, of Watertown, SD; and Mike and his wife, Tina Heller, of Watertown, SD; one daughter, Patti, and her husband, Bill Saunders, of Sioux City, IA; one brother, Larry Hrubesh, of Pleasanton, CA; and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, John; her parents; and one brother, David. |
