Funeral services for Matthew P. Bolin, age 43, of Erwin, SD, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2008, in the Watertown Wesleyan Church, Watertown, SD. Pastor Jim Biswell will officiate. Music will be provided by Sean Bolin, Tiara Eckman Bolin and Pastor Jim and Peggy Biswell. Matt passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at the hospital in Watertown. Burial will be in the Dixon New Hope Cemetery, Vienna, SD. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt’s nieces and nephews: Dustin Eckman, Brionna Eckman, Chase Eckman, Cherie Bolin, Tanner Lycans, Harmony Lycans, Leigh Riley, Marc Bills, Matthew Feeney, and Dana Bosch. Active pallbearers will be: Tiara Eckman Bolin, Chuck Bolin, Sean Bolin, Jr., Cole Adema, Steve Amrhien, and Mike Briggs. Visitation will be in the Watertown Wesleyan Church prior to services on Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. The family is requested to meet at the church on Monday by 10:30 a.m. for a prayer service. Arrangements are being handled by Crawford Funeral Chapel of Watertown, SD. Matt was born on April 22, 1965, in El Paso, TX, to Ernest E. and Sharon A. (Compton) Bolin. He graduated from Groveport High School in Columbus, OH. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. On September 13, 1991, Matt married Sandy Keffer in Hutchinson, KS. The couple lived in Ohio and Kansas before moving to Erwin, SD, in September of 2008. Matt worked various jobs, but most recently was working as a computer tech for Sales Data, Inc. Matt was a member of the Nazarene Church in Hutchinson, KS. At the time of his death, he was doing volunteer work with the kids and youth at Watertown Wesleyan Church. Matt loved his family deeply. He enjoyed working with photos and photography. Matt is survived by his wife, Sandy, of Erwin, SD; three sons: Matthew Dean Bolin of Columbus, OH, and Jasper Bolin and Moses Bolin both of Erwin, SD; his parents of Pickerington, OH; one brother, Sean, and his wife, Michelle Bolin, of Vienna, SD; and one sister, Dawn Bolin, and her fiancé, Tony Harter, of Ravenna, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
