Funeral services for Brandy Jean Cotton, age 18, of Watertown, SD, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, in the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown. Rev. Steve Hargis will officiate. Music will be provided by the ‘All Nations Drum Group.’ Brandy passed away on Friday, January 30, 2009, in Watertown. Burial will be in the Ortley Cemetery, Ortley, SD. Honorary pallbearers will be the McDonald’s employees. Active pallbearers will be: Larry Breske, Tony Breske, Galen Gibson, Tony Morehead, Ray Reil, and Nathan DeYoung. Visitation will be in the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown, on Monday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday prior to services at the chapel. The family is requested to meet at the chapel on Tuesday, by 9:30 a.m., for a prayer service. Brandy was born on October 22, 1990, at Watertown, SD, to Becky (Cotton) Phyle and Jason Lufkins. She grew up in the Ortley, Waubay, and Summit areas, attending schools in Webster, Waubay, Summit, and Watertown. She most recently lived in Watertown with her special friend, Dustin Hawbecker, and family. She enjoyed babysitting for many families and also enjoyed listening to music. Brandy was currently employed at the interstate McDonalds. Brandy is survived by her mother, Becky, and step-father, Ron Phyle, of Watertown; her father, Jason, and step-mother, Georgia Lufkins, of New Effington, SD, four brothers: Casey Cotton, Ronald Phyle, Jr., Zedor Phyle, and Gaige Phyle, all of Watertown, SD; her two half-sisters, DeCoteau and Montana, and one half-brother, Lorenzo Lufkins, all of New Effington, SD; her maternal grandmother, Bonnie Cotton, of Watertown, SD; her paternal grandparents, Marv and Gloria Allison, of Waubay, SD; her uncle, Brandon Cotton, of Watertown, SD; her paternal step-grandparents, Galen and May Gibson, of Webster, SD; and numerous aunts,uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mary Jane Johnson; her paternal grandfathers, Ephriam Lufkins and Wallace Welch.
