 A memorial service for Glenn C. Moorhouse, age 81, of Watertown, SD, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2009, in the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown. Rev. Eric Grinager will officiate. Music will be provided by Dorothy Brugman, organist, and Don Seim, soloist. Glenn passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at a care center in Watertown.
Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown. Honorary pallbearers will be all of the staff and residents of Jenkins Living Center. There will be no visitation. The family is requested to meet at the chapel on Friday, by 10:30 a.m., for a prayer service. Glenn was born on March 23, 1927, in rural Watertown, SD, to Clarence J. and Lela (Gudehus) Moorhouse. He attended Watertown schools and started farming with his dad and for area farmers. Glenn continued farming his entire life until retiring. He moved into Jenkins Living Center and has resided there since. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Watertown. Glenn enjoyed driving his car, sightseeing, attending basketball games, and watching TV. While living at Jenkins, Glenn enjoyed coloring pictures with great detail. Many of his pieces have been displayed at the care center for others to enjoy. Glenn is survived by one brother, Roy, and his wife, Bernadine Moorhouse, of Sioux Falls, SD; one sister, Ruth Erickson, of Watertown, SD; and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. |
