Marguerite McClung Jameson Funeral services for Marguerite McClung Jameson, age 81, of Watertown, SD, will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in the New Helgen Lutheran Church, Florence, SD. Rev. Gary Anderson will officiate. Music will be provided by Dorothy Anderson, organist and Anna Marguerite Moe, soloist. Marguerite passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2009, at a care center in Watertown. She was the widow of Leslie McClung and Eldon Jameson.

Burial will be in the Goodhue Lutheran Cemetery, rural Florence, SD. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Marguerite’s grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be: Larry Bergh, Darrick Moe, Cole McClung, Amy McClung, Alan Barch, and Marty DesLauriers.

Visitation will be in the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown, on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services at the church. The family is requested to meet at the church on Wednesday by 10:00 a.m. for a prayer service.

Marguerite was born on April 5, 1928, in Wallace, SD, to Einar and Inga (Bergh) Jordeth. She taught rural school for two years before she married Leslie McClung on October 5, 1947, at Goodhue Lutheran Church in Florence. The couple lived and farmed near Wallace until Leslie passed away on November 17, 1979.

Marguerite married Eldon Jameson on April 18, 1981, in Florence, SD, and they resided in Wallace. Eldon passed away on December 10, 2001.

She was active in church and community programs all of her life. Marguerite enjoyed organizing and presenting at many Wallace reunions. She often shared her kindness and sense of humor in speaking and when writing and improving greeting cards each time she recycled them. Marguerite worked for Keller Hardware in Wallace for several years and enjoyed all of her local friendships and taking care of family.

Marguerite is survived by one daughter, Nancy, and her husband, Richard Moe, of Watertown, SD; two sons: Mark and his wife, Sandy McClung, of Sioux Falls, SD, and Lennis McClung of Wallace, SD; five grandchildren: Darrick and his wife, Robin Moe, Jill and her husband, Alan Barch, Cole McClung, Amy McClung, and Shannon McClung; five great-grandchildren: Aleshia, Anna, and Richard Moe, and Bricelyn and Ackley Barch; one great-great-grandchild, AvaMarie Moe; one sister, Phyllis Mitchell, of Sioux Falls, SD; one brother, Elmor, and his wife, Sheila Jordeth, of Omaha, NE; and her faithful friend, Ramona Moe-Ustrud.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leslie McClung, and their son, Karl; her second husband, Eldon Jameson; and her parents.
