Memorial services for Patricia “Pat” H. (Mrs. Carroll) Hansen, age 78, of Watertown, SD, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2009, at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown. Rev. Stephen Lauricella will officiate. Music will be provided by Marcia Jelsma as organist and Judy Everson as soloist. Pat passed away on Monday, May 18, 2009, at a care center in Lake Norden, SD.
A memorial visitation will be at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. A private burial will take place at a later date. Pat was born on November 5, 1930, at Revillo, SD, to Edward and Eleanor (Kelly) Haugan. She attended Revillo High School and following graduation, she attended Augustana College. On January 15, 1968, Pat married Carroll Hansen at Watertown, SD. Pat operated the dining room at the Office Bar & Lounge from 1964 to 1977. Later, she and her husband, Carroll, opened Pat & Carroll’s Supper Club in Lake Preston, SD. They retired in 1995 and moved back to Watertown in 1996. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Pat enjoyed golfing, having coffee with her friends, going out to eat, and watching TV. Pat is survived by her husband, Carroll, of Watertown; four step-children: Curtis (Kathy) Hansen of Windside, NE, Debora (Bill) Galley and Russell (Shari) Hansen all of Omaha, NE, and Randy (Brenda) Hansen of Fremont, NE; two brothers: John P. (Delores) Haugan of Watertown, SD, and Pete (Peggy) Haugan of Florence, SD; two sisters: Marilyn (Russ) Amey of Tillamook, OK, and Shari Haugan of Minnetonka, MN; and nine step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Barry James Hansen; her parents; and Norma Haugan, the aunt who raised her after her mother’s death in 1936. |
