 Funeral services for Gloria J. (Mrs. Wallace) Jensen, age 64, of Watertown, SD will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2009 in the Grace Lutheran Church, Watertown. Pastor Stephen Lauricella will officiate. Music will be provided by Marcia Jelsma as organist with congregational singing. Gloria passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at her residence.
Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown. Honorary pallbearers will be Gloria’s grandchildren: Austin Jensen, Morgan Jensen, Amanda Jensen, Kadie Jensen, Kasen Jensen, and Brandi Rice. Active pallbearers will be: Dean Jensen, Jesse Jensen, Jeffery Rice, and Zachary Rice. Visitation will be in the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown, on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and in the church on Saturday prior to services. The family is requested to meet at the church on Saturday by 10:00 a.m. for a prayer service. Gloria was born on December 14, 1944, in Glencoe, MN to Edmund and Dorothy (Jeneke) Hardel. She attended and graduated from Glencoe High School. On November 9, 1963 Gloria married Wallace “Wally” Jensen at Glencoe, MN. She worked at J. B. Booksellers in Minneapolis, MN. The couple moved to Watertown in 1979, where she worked in the offices at McFleegs and Salvation Army. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with her family. Family involvement was very important to Gloria. She loved her pets and spending time with them. Gloria is survived by her husband, Wally, of Watertown; three sons: Jesse (Danielle) Jensen and Dean (Kristy) Jensen, all of Watertown, and Wallace (Brenda) Rice of Shreveport, LA; one sister, Janet Mae (Ed) Hafeman of Bloomington, MN; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Pamela Jeanne. |
