 Funeral services for Mary Ann (Mrs. David) Schoonover, age 60, of Hayti, SD, will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Hayti Lutheran Church in Hayti. Rev. Randy Eisenbeisz will officiate. Mary Ann passed away on Monday, June 22, 2009, at a care center in Watertown.
Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Hayti. Pallbearers will be: Gary Stolp, Rick Wadsworth, Craig Seppala, Rick Nebel, Shawn Olsen, and David Olsen. Visitation will be at Crawford Funeral Chapel in Hayti on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Thursday prior to services at the church. The family is requested to meet at the church on Thursday by 10:00 a.m. for a prayer service. Mary Ann was born on June 26, 1948, in LaCrosse, WI, to Clair and Moroa (Keith) Blakely. She graduated from Lake Preston High School. Mary Ann had Medical Transcriptionist training in Wisconsin and later moved to Hayti. On July 10, 1980, Mary Ann married David Schoonover in Hayti, SD. Following their marriage, the couple continued to live in Hayti. Mary Ann was employed at Brown Clinic for many years. She was a member of Hayti Lutheran Church. She enjoyed making crafts and spending time with her family, especially with her granddaughter. Mary Ann is survived by her husband, David, of Hayti; one son, Jeff, and his fianceé, Angie Christofferson, of Summit, SD; and one granddaughter, Mackenzie. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Joe. |
