 A Funeral Mass for Mary C. Leisure, age 86, of Watertown, SD, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown. Fr. Joseph Forcelle will officiate. Music will be provided by Leanne Giessinger, as organist, and the church choir. Mary passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009, at the hospital in Watertown. She was the widow of Cyrus F. Leisure.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown. Pallbearers will be Corey Hunter, Josh Leisure, and Jon DeWall. Visitation will be at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday prior to services at the church. The family is requested to meet at the church on Wednesday by 9:30 a.m. for a prayer service. Mary was born on July 23, 1923, in Henry, SD, to John and Laura (Nelson) Riley. She attended rural schools near Grover, SD. On October 11, 1944, Mary married Cyrus F. Leisure in Henry. The couple resided in Watertown. Mary was a homemaker and she and Cyrus owned and operated Star Laundry & Dry Cleaners. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary is survived by one son, Pat (Pam) Leisure, of Sioux Falls, SD; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Don (Anna) Riley, of Watertown, SD; and one sister, Marjorie Isaacson, of Eureka, MT. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, and five sisters. |
