Tyler Alan Janzen A Celebration of Life for Tyler Alan Janzen, age 24, of Watertown, SD, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Watertown. Rev. Tom Christenson will officiate. Music will be provided by Marian Riddle as organist and Dave Moffatt as soloist. Tyler passed away, as a result of brain cancer, on Saturday, October 10, 2009, at his home.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Kim Wilde and the Watertown High School Class of “2004”. Active pallbearers will be: Keith Pietz, Keith Snow, Brian Hosmer, Tom Lieffort, Milo Ford, and Dana Mack.

Visitation will be at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services at the church. The family is requested to meet at the church on Wednesday by 9:30 a.m. for a prayer service.

Tyler was born on April 4, 1985, at Watertown, SD, to Al and Lori (Hellwig) Janzen. He attended school in Watertown and graduated in 2004. Following his graduation, Tyler worked at various places until his illness forced him to no longer work.

He was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Tyler enjoyed being with his friends, riding dirt bike, snow boarding, and playing golf, cards, pool, and darts. He also enjoyed playing and listening to music. Tyler loved spending time with his family, especially taking trips with his brother, Matt.

Tyler is survived by his parents, of Watertown; one brother, Matt Janzen, of St. Cloud, MN; his maternal grandparents: Lucille Hellwig of Menno, SD, and Willard Hellwig of Yankton, SD; his great-aunt, Myrdes Steffen, of Menno, SD; and 13 aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and one aunt.
