     Memorial services for Marjorie M. McKinney, age 84, of Raymond, SD, will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Clark, SD, of which she was a member. Rev. Roger Shepherd will officiate. Plans are also being made for a memorial service in Albuquerque, NM. Marje went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 14, 2009, at the hospital in Watertown, SD.


     Marje was born on October 28, 1925, in Davenport, IA, to Theodore and Mary (Fey) Woeller. She graduated from high school in LeClaire, IA, in 1944, where she was an all-state basketball player for two consecutive years. 


     On October 14, 1944, Marje married William “Bill” J. McKinney in Davenport, IA. To this union, four children were born and they were married for 65 years.


     Marje is survived by her husband, Bill, of Raymond, SD; four children: Tim (Debbie) McKinney of Lake City, CO, Carole Bell of Rio Rancho, NM, Michael McKinney of Albuquerque, NM, and Mal (LeAnn) McKinney of Sioux Falls, SD; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, David Woeller, of Santa Rosa, Ca; and one sister, Janet (Andy) Graaff, of Princeton, IA.


     A memorial fund has been set up at a Christian camp where Marje’s son, Tim, serves as camp director. Please send donations to: John Jackson, Camp Red Cloud, PO Box 130, Lake City, CO, 81235. Please write “memorial fund for Marje McKinney” on the memo line of your check.

Will miss our dear Marj. I can still hear her saying to you " OH BILL" will always keep that in my mind. We had many good meals together. Will never forget the time her and I packed the stuff in storage into the pickup and you didn't think we could do it you took our picture. Will always remember standing beside in many of time. We always love her and please take good care of yourself.

Dear Bill and FamilyrnAm sorry to hear about the loss of a sweet and caring lady. I will miss not doing Margie's hair annd making her look like a queen. We shared a lot of areas when we got together. I will miss her dearly. LOVE her Hairdresser Sandy Luke

Just know that we are all thinking of you and your family during the loss your sweet sweet Marg.

We will always have our fond memories of you Auntie...Enjoy Knitting with Aunt Olive, quilting, playing cards with Aunt Olive, Uncle Virgil and Kelly. Try to not let Grandma Mary boss you around too much ;-)
