I had the pleasure of working with Rick for several years while in the same industry as HESCO. We hit it off right away and our business relationship quickly turned into a friendship. I'll never forget some of the fun times we had at food industry events. Us non-food scientists needed to stick together! While my career path took me to a different industry a few years ago, Rick and I remained in contact and I always enjoyed hearing updates on his family and his business accomplishments. I d

Lesli & Family, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Ricks passing. Just a real quick memmory of Rick that I would like to share. It was JR. high football, Rick was in the process of tackling Myron Kissinger. He had him wrapped up around the ankles, and I was coming at full steam. As I dove, Myron ducked, and I did the worst belly flop of my life. All I remember is Rick grabbing me by the back of the jersey, lifting me to my feet, laughing, and saying, "next time aim a little lower Burnsy" Th

Dear Lesli, Dan, Josh, and Rick's beloved friends and family,
I don't remember ever seeing Rick without a smile, without making someone laugh, without spreading joy.
Wishing you peace and comfort through this process. Loss can separate you for now, but his love will be with you always.
God bless your hearts.

Lesli, my heart aches for you at this time. Who knows why God in His wisdom has called Rick home so early. For us who are left it is as our soul is torn in two. Know that we lift you and your family in prayer. Rick was a remarkable person long before he became my friend 35 years ago. He still is remarkable - his light just shines in a better place now.

He and I started off as workers many years ago and became close friends and business partners. We shared some low times in our lives and definately some of the absolute best. On a daily basis I was fortunate enough to be called into a "meeting" in his office which would generally start with a story about his boys and all their numerous sucesses, not necessarily in athletics,(at wh

It's been so long since I visited with my family up north, Uncle Rick included. I think last time I saw everyone was when Josh was a toddler and was showing off his pacifier-flipping trick while sitting on Rick's shoulders. Uncle Rick was the sweetest (and tallest) uncle...which made it easy for him to hang us kids in the tree everytime we begged him too! He will be dearly missed and I know he has touched everyone's life in a positive way that he ever met.Aunt Lesli, you are in my prayers...a

Lesli,

It seems like yesterday when we were in high school. You dressed in your cheerleading outfit waiting after the game for the football players(Rick) to come. It has been pure joy to watch as you and Rick grew in your love of each other. May you feel the warmth of God around you. He will carry you through this trying time for you and for your children. Rick's legacy will live on in Dan and Josh.

Take care,
