| A close friend in Columbus told me of Randy's passing. Randy and I boxed each other, at a fight in Bryant, SD, in about 1973, to a draw, shortly before I left for the Marine Corps. Semper Fi', Randy! Tough great guy. RIP My e-mail is (of course) goldengloves165@yahoo.com |

| "PAY IT FORWARD".. that's how I know Randy. My daughter and I were eating in a local Columbus restaurant when Randy, his duaghter and grandsons came in. The restaurant was full and only had a 2 chair table available. My daughter and I swapped tables so Randy and his family could have the bigger table. After we were done eating I went to pay the bill, Randy had already PAID for our meal! My daughter and I went over to THANK Randy for his thoughtfulness and he asked that we do one favor for |

| I dont know any kid in Hayti while we were growing up that did not look up to Randy Shelsta. Whenever I ran into him he we always had a good chat about the "old" days and how many times he ruffed me up. To me, he was just a nice guy that could take care of himself (and lot of others as well). He will truly be missed. My heart goes out to his family and Ron and Terry's families as well. | I learned a lot about life from Randy over the years. We worked some long hard hours together and played just as hard. My fondest memories are all around pheasant hunting together. I remember the first time we took him to K& D’s for a Tower Hunt. The look on his face was one of pure joy. I think he thought he was in heaven that day. As a Christian I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and know there is a heaven. I feel confident Randy will be pheasant hunting again with no limits this |
