Virgil Delven Jenner, age 85, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at the Veterans’ Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Per his request, there will be no funeral service. Burial will take place in the spring at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Aberdeen, SD. Arrangements were handled by Crawford Funeral Chapel of Watertown. Virgil was born on October 10, 1924, in McPherson County, SD, to Jacob and Mathilda (Oschner) Jenner. Following graduation, Virgil enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean Conflict. He attended railroad school from 1954 to 1955 with Nevada South Pacific. Virgil served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1961. He was a bartender until his retirement. Virgil moved to Golden LivingCenter in Lake Norden from the Towers in Watertown. Virgil is survived by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
