Betty Lou Buckley, age 81, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at the hospital in Watertown. Private family services were held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010.  Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD, at a later date.  She was the widow of Billie Buckley.

     Arrangements were handled by the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Watertown.

     Betty was born on March 9, 1928, at Olivia, MN, to Carl and Lillian (Larson) Anderson. 

     On August 28, 1947, Betty married Billie Buckley at Watertown, SD.  In later years, the couple moved to Watertown where Betty was employed in food services at Lake Area Technical Institute.  She retired in 1992.

     She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown, Telephone Pioneers, and the ‘Red Hat’ Society.

     Betty is survived by two daughters: Renae (Terry) Johnson of Webster, SD, and Babette (Clark) Breitag of Watertown, SD; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Virgil (Irene) Anderson, of Wooster, OH.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, her parents, one brother and one sister.
