Funeral services for Kathryn Mary Lee, age 75, of Summit, SD, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010, at Hope Lutheran Church in Summit. Rev. Justin Neugebauer will officiate. Music will be provided by Val Moen as organist and Bill Rohlfing as soloist. Kathryn passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010, at a hospital in Burial will take place in the spring at Visitation will be at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Kathryn was born on December 14, 1934, in rural On December 15, 1952, Kathryn married Bernard “Tom” Lee at Kathryn enjoyed gardening, upholstery work, sewing, reading, playing cards, puzzle books and putting puzzles together. She and her family held an annual potato picking event. Kathryn felt honored to be called “Mom” by many and was a great listener and confidant. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Kathryn is survived by two daughters: Barbara (James) McBride of South Shore, SD, and Pamela Hanson of Vermillion, SD and her special friend, Brian Hanson, of Elk Point, SD; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers: John (Betty) LaBarr of Webster, SD, and Ralph LaBarr of Ortley, SD; and three sisters: Julia (Bill) Rohlfing, Helen (Robert) Kluntz, and Anita LaBarr all of Cleveland, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons: Bernard Thomas, Jr. and Paul Alan; her parents; and two brothers: George LaBarr and Donald LaBarr.
