Funeral services for Jaxon Floyd Rodengen, age 12 months, son of Amanda Aadland and Aaron Rodengen of Watertown, SD, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 30, 2010, in Ascension Presbyterian Church, "Big Coulee", Peever, SD.  Pastors Enright Bighorn, John Brady, and Naomi Brady will officiate.

     Burial will be in Ascension Presbyterian Cemetery, Peever, SD. Honorary pallbearers will be:  Anthony Aadland and Chris Christensen.  Active pallbearers will be:  Aaron Aadland, Aaron Rodengen, Dale Aadland, and Derek Rodengen.

     Visitation will be in Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown, on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Wake Service officiated by Pastor John Brady.  Visitation will continue in the church on Friday prior to services.  The family is requested to meet at the church on Friday by 10:30 a.m. to attend the service.

     Jaxon was born on April 3, 2009, in Sioux Falls, SD.  He passed away on April 26, 2010, at a hospital in Watertown, SD.  Jaxon touched the lives of many people at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, and Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA; where he was a patient.

     Jaxon is survived by his parents and one sister, Lily Aadland, all of Watertown, SD; his maternal grandparents: Dale and Becky Aadland of Wilmot, SD; his paternal grandmother, Mechele Rodengen, of Milbank, SD; his maternal great-grandmother, Grace Aadland, of Sisseton, SD; and his paternal great-grandmother, Jackie Angerhofer, of Milbank, SD.

     He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Rev. Floyd Heminger, and his paternal great-grandfather, Harvey Angerhofer.
