Funeral services for Charles Norman Bucholz, age 82, of Watertown, SD, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 19, 2010, at Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown, SD.  Pastor Scott Davis will officiate.  Music will be provided by Linda Hoekman, organist.  Charles passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at an assisted living center in Florence, SD.

     Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown.  Pallbearers will be:  Tony Bucholz, Aaron Bucholz, Greg Murphy, Brad Johnson, Dustin Johnson, and Jared Johnson. 

     Visitation will be at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. and on Monday prior to the services.  The family is requested to meet at Crawford Funeral Chapel on Monday by 9:30 a.m. for a prayer service.

     Charles was born on January 31, 1928, in Watertown, SD, to Cecil and Gladys (Peterson) Bucholz.  He attended school in Colman, SD, and in Watertown, SD.

     He married Darlene Conrad on February 26, 1949, at Webster, SD.  Charles enjoyed trucking and was a self-employed truck driver most of his life.

     He enjoyed pheasant and duck hunting and also drives in the country.  He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     Charles is survived by his wife, Darlene, of Watertown; three children: Ina (Chris) Poetoehena of Mira Loma, CA, Linda (Gary) Murphy of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kenneth (Carol) Bucholz of Watertown, SD; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Darrell Bucholz, of St. Augustine, IL; and two sisters, Barbara Davis of Brownsville, TX , and Pat Brown of New York, NY.

     He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James.
