Funeral services for June A. (Mrs. Wallace) Hamman, age 85, of Watertown, SD, will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Watertown. Rev. Iver Possehl will officiate. Music will be provided by Sharon Falk as organist with congregational singing. June passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at a care center in Watertown. Burial will be at the Lakeview Cemetery in Clear Lake, SD. Pallbearers will be: Lance Hamman, Steven Hamman, Eric Anderson, Jay Gregerson, Cody Kenyon, and Doug Wittnebel. Visitation will be at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and prior to services at the church on Saturday. The family is requested to meet at the church on Saturday by 12:30 p.m. for a prayer service. June Anna Augusta was born on January 20, 1926, on the family farm near Revillo, SD, to Herman and Ella (Wittnebel) Beutler. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Albee, SD. June attended Revillo Public School and graduated as Valedictorian in 1943. On May 20, 1946, June married Lawrence Walter in Marietta, MN. They moved to their farm east of Altamont, SD, in 1951. Lawrence and June were the third generation to farm the homestead. They worked together on the farm until his death on January 18, 1980. June then went to work at Halse’s Grocery Store in Clear Lake, SD. In 1988, she moved to Watertown and worked several different jobs. June married Wallace M. Hamman on January 15, 1994, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Watertown. She worked with Wallace in his business until he sold it. In July of 2010, June moved into Meadowlake Assisted Living in Watertown and in May of 2011, she moved to Jenkins Living She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. June enjoyed sewing, gardening, crocheting, dancing, and visiting with her sister on the phone. June is survived by her husband, Wallace, of Watertown; her seven step-children: Jane (Roger) Skatvold of Watertown, SD, Mary (Tom) Snyder of Montrose, CO, Wally (Diane) Hamman of Milbank, SD, Faye (Steven) Berkenpas of Adrian, MN, Ruby (Bert) Reissig of Colorado Springs, CO, Joan (Randy) Johnson of Pearl River, NY, and Allen (Jenny) Hamman of Sturgis, SD; 14 step-grandchildren; 11 great-step-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Anderson, of Grand Junction, CO; and one niece, Carol Jean (Carroll) Aamold, of Grand Junction, CO. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence; her parents; and one brother-in-law, Burton Anderson. |

| June always loved to see us when we would visit. She always loved Bert and was concerned for him after his stroke. May she rest in Peace and those she left behind find Peace on Earth Love you dad, Ruby and Bert |

| Hazel, Aunt June was a very special person to us and we always tried to remain in touch with her after Uncle Lawrence passed away. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. |
