Funeral services for Stanley Willis Camp, age 86, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly Watertown, SD, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Crawford Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Rev. Greg Berkey will officiate. Music will be provided by Eloise Falk as organist with Dan Westmoreland as soloist. Stanley passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at a hospital in Sioux Falls. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Pallbearers will be: Elton Tufte, Tim Hanson, Dr. Sam Camp, Chad Camp, Troy Camp, and Keith Chiavetta. Visitation will be prior to the services on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Crawford Funeral Chapel in Watertown. The family is requested to meet at the chapel on Saturday by 10:30 a.m. for a prayer service. Stan was born on the old Blomquist farm in Sisseton, SD, on June 26, 1925, to Elmer and Hilda (Blomquist) Camp. He later moved to Watertown, SD, where he was employed at Peter Fox Poultry. There he met Kathryn Herreid; it was love at first sight. Stan and Katy were married at First Baptist Church in Watertown on June 17, 1945. The couple raised five children in Watertown; three girls and two boys. Throughout his career, Stan worked at Swift &Co., Nash Finch, SD Industries for the Blind, and was the custodian at First Baptist Church for 21 years. The couple moved to Sioux Falls in 1969. Stan and Katy welcomed many family, particularly grandchildren, and friends to their home; the coffee pot was always ready. In June 2005, Stan and Katy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at First Baptist Church. Stan was loved and appreciated by his family and friends for his wonderful sense of humor, and his great story-telling about growing up on the farm in Sisseton, recounting memories of time spent with the Hanson cousins. He was an avid sports fan supporting the Watertown Arrows, the Minnesota Twins, and the Minnesota Gophers. Survivors include his children: Mary (William) Bailey of Pennsburg, PA, Richard (Ann) Camp of Eden Prairie, MN, Virginia (Bert) Williams of Lakewood, CO, Tom (Cheryl “Cheri”) Camp of Watertown, SD, Lois (Vince) Malone of Sioux Falls, SD; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dennis Camp, of Seattle, WA; and one sister, Jean Boyd, of Portland, OR. Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn; his parents; and one sister, Betty. Memorials may be directed to the Watertown Quarterback Club |

| We are so sorry to hear about Stanley's passing, and greeting to the Camp family from the Blomquists. I am sorry that the distance made it impossible for some of us to be present at the funeral. My wife and I had a great time visiting with Stan (and Mary who was there for a visit) on my last trip to Sioux Falls. Stan was always fun to talk with about life in Sisseton. | Sorry to hear about Stan. I met him while living in Watertown and visiting Tom and Cheri. We were neighbors to Tom and their son, Sam, and my son, Paul grew up together and were best of friends. I know he will be missed and just know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. |

| As I was reading Obituaries today I noticed Stanleys' was very heart warming. I live in the Sisseton area but am not from Sisseton. it seems to me that he was a wonderful person to know. It shows that he loved life and people. It also shows that he was a family man ,loved all his children ,and shared a long lasting marriage. The bible refers to death as an enemy ( 1 Corinthians 15:26) . And it certainly is. It also says that death will be brought to nothing. This lets us know that i |

| My thoughts and prayers are with you during your loss. Stan was one of my favorite people and one of the GREATEST workers we had at SD Ind. for the Blind. I can still hear his lound "Hello Marty" and that great big smile. You can all be proud of Stan as he had a sense of humor and work ethic matched by none. Sorry I can't meet you all and say this in person as we have a family reunion this weekend. rnGOD BLESS rnrnMarty LuebkeFormer Admin. SDIB |
