Beulah May I. Dally

Beulah May I. Dally, age 85, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011, at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown.  Rev. Andrew Schaller will officiate.  Music will be provided by Melanie Dummann as organist with congregational singing.  She was the widow of Robert Dally who passed away in November of 2007.



 



Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.  Pallbearers will be: Rick Fox, Mark Fox, Dallas Rasmussen, Jeff Dally, Matthew Dally, Mike Millington, Mark Sharkey, Mike Erdahl and Shawn Eickert.



 



Visitation will be at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and prior to services at the church on Thursday.



 



Beulah was born on October 8, 1926, in Willow Lake, SD, to George and Alfredia (Gloe) Fink.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  At an early age, she moved with her family to Clark, SD, where she attended school.  Following the death of her parents, she made her home with two uncles and her grandfather south of Clark.



 



On May 18, 1946, Beulah married Robert Dally in Montevideo, MN.  The couple farmed in the Wallace and Henry area until 1957 when they moved to Watertown. Beulah worked as a waitress at Leo’s Good Food for four years, as a checker at Red Owl for 28 years and County Fair Foods for 10 years.  Beulah retired in 1999.



 



She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in the Ladies’ Aid and involved in many other activities.  Beulah enjoyed sewing and needle work.



 



Beulah is survived by two sons, Frank (Dawn) Dally of Watertown, SD, and LeRoy Dally of Eagan, MN; two daughters, Barbara Fox of Watertown, SD, and JoAnn (Tom) Solem of Fort Peck, MT; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Lois Fink and Marie Dally, both of Watertown, SD.



 



She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Eldo; one sister, Emma; two daughters-in-law, Mary and Lori; and one son-in-law, Dennis Fox.

To Beulah family, so sorry to hear of her passing. My mom Myrtle and her did alot together and Mom always loved chatting with Beulah. She was always so great to around at Lady's Aid and other church functions. She had a strong faith and a great lady! My thoughts and prayers are with you during your sorrow. She will be sadly missed.

i remember beulah when my mom and i would go to red owl.she will be missed

I worked with Beulah at Red Owl. She was a very nice lady and I am sorry to hear of her passing. My prayers go out to her family.
