Joyce Michaelson, age 82, of Watertown, SD passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at a local care center.  She was the widow of Morris A. Michaelson.  Funeral services will be on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown.  Rev. Stephen Lauricella will officiate.  Lector will be Gayle Small.  Music will be provided by Marcia Jelsma, organist, and a quartet of Randy Owen, Chuck Valberg, Don Voss, and Dave Satter. 

 Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown.  Pallbearers will be:  David Michaelson, Daniel Michaelson, Mark Iverson, Phil Michaelson, Rod Iverson, and Dale Rogness. 

 Visitation will be on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Watertown and in the church on Monday prior to the services.

 Joyce was born on December 1, 1929 in Watertown, SD to K. Albert and Mabel (Bale) Lowry.  She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church and was a lifelong member of the church.  She graduated from Watertown High School in 1947.  After graduation, Joyce began working at Watertown Community Oil as a bookkeeper.  On October 18, 1973, Joyce married Morris A. Michaelson at Grace Lutheran Church.   Joyce retired in 1993, after working for Watertown Community Oil for 46 years.  Morris passed away on August 7, 1999.

 She is survived by Morris’ children:  Nancy (Rod) Iverson of Watertown, SD, Philip (Patti) Michaelson of Livonia, MI, and Nancy Michaelson of Holts Summit, MO; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Grace Clausen of Cashmere, WA; two nieces: Carla Carey of Cashmere, WA and Susan (Randy) Bush of Castle Rock, CO; a nephew, Mark Lowry of Denver, CO.

 Joyce was preceded in death by her husband; Morris’ son, Stan; her parents; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Orville (Harriett) and Milford.
