Betty Ness Obituary
Betty Jeanne LaVine Ness, age 90, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016, at a care center in Watertown. She was the widow of Glenn Ness. Per Betty's request, there will be no services.
Betty was born on June 26, 1926, in St. Paul, MN, to Paul and Pearl (Vilander) LaVine. She graduated from Clarissa High School, Clarissa, MN.
On June 1, 1946, Betty was united in marriage to Glenn Ness in Webster, SD. They were married for 62 years. She worked at General Adjustment Bureau and Frontier Motors in Watertown.
Her hobbies included playing Bridge, sewing, knitting and quilting, making each of her children a quilt.
Betty is survived by her two children, Mike (Kandra) Ness of Watertown, SD, and Julia Ness of Ham Lake, MN; five grandchildren: Michelle, Andrew, Paul, Holly and Jeremy; and eight great-grandchildren: Loudyn, Lawgyr, Talli, Tukar, Jacob, Meagan, Beth and Mathew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; her parents; one son, James; one brother, Paul; and one sister, Irene.
