Cheryl Karst Obituary
Cheryl C. Karst, age 76, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at the local hospital. At Cheryl's request, there will be no services.
Cheryl was born on January 2, 1941, in Frederic, WI, to Harold and Vera (Swanson) Wendt. She graduated from high school at Richfield, MN.
On July 9, 1962, Cheryl was united in marriage to Robert Karst in Reno, NV. The couple moved to Richfield where she did some babysitting. She also drove a transportation bus for handicapped individuals. Cheryl moved to Watertown in 1982. After working at Star Laundry for 20 years, she then worked in housekeeping at the Ramkota Hotel, retiring in 2010. Cheryl enjoyed sewing, crocheting, babysitting, camping and watching her game shows. She also had a love for dogs. Her most enjoyable times were spent with family.
Cheryl is survived by her children: John (Sherri) Karst of Argyle, TX, Dawn Simonton and Shawn (Jen) Karst, both of Watertown, SD; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
