Deborah Taylor Obituary

Deborah M. Taylor, age 57, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family and loved ones. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017, at the Faulkton United Methodist Church in Faulkton, SD. Rev. Bill Hoffman will officiate. Music will be provided by Marlene Hammond as organist with congregational singing. The family is requested to meet at the church on Friday by 10:30 a.m. for a prayer service.





Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and prior to services at the church on Friday.





Burial will take place at the Faulkton City Cemetery in Faulkton. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Foncannon American Legion Post #102 of Faulkton and the Funeral Honors Team of the SD Army National Guard. Pallbearers will be Craig Aesoph, Matt Donegan, Tom Pfiefer and Cory Mccloud.





Deborah was born on May 1, 1960, at Gettysburg, SD, to Gene and Phyllis (Sangster) Traver. She graduated from Faulkton High School in 1978. Following graduation, Deborah enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving her country until her honorable discharge in 1982 after the birth of her son. She moved to Watertown where she has resided for the past 30 years, working as a nurse's aide at local care centers.





She believed in and loved God and was a very spiritual woman. She was also a member of the American Legion and the Black Diamond Band. Deborah enjoyed embroidery, playing bags and cards, working in coloring books and singing Karaoke.





A special thank you to Kenady Martens, Taylor Hoff and Abby Winge for their loving care and concern during the last days of her life.





Deborah is survived by her children: Justin Walker and his fiancé, Jessica Jensen, of Watertown, Faith Walker and her fiancé, Jason Szelagowski, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and Heather Walker and her fiancé, Robert Martin, of Watertown; her fiancé, Mike Donegan, of Watertown; her step-son, Matt Donegan, and his girlfriend, Krystal Lee, of Watertown; nine grandchildren; her father, Gene Traver, of Faulkton; and three sisters: Denise Traver of Faulkton, Nancy Traver of Watertown and Natalie Faber of Garretson.





She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis; her grandparents, Glen and June Sangster and Leona and Cecil "Tete" Traver; one nephew, Shadow Pfiefer; one uncle, Ronnie Sangster; and two cousins, Dale Aesoph and Sheila Ellenbecker.
