Diane Myhre Obituary
Diane M. Myhre, age 72, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015, at a local care center in Watertown.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015, at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown.
Rev. Janet Miller will officiate.
Music will be provided by Marcia Jelsma as organist, and Judy Everson as soloist.
The family is requested to meet at the church on Monday by 12:30 p.m. for a prayer service.
Visitation will be at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Sunday, February 1, 2015, from 2 - 4 p.m. and in the church prior to services.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.
Honorary pallbearers will be Diane's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Buck Jacobs, Jeff Reinhart, Richard Kohn, Bob Jensen, Dustin Johnson, and Ashton Brown.
Diane was born on March 18, 1942, in Montevideo, MN, to Manfred Olson and Irene Johnson.
She graduated from Montevideo High School.
On August 31, 1962, Diane married Dean Myhre at Watson, MN.
The couple moved to Watertown in 1971.
She started working at Arrowhead Seed.
She then went to work for Stones as a truck broker until she retired in 2004.
After retirement she wanted to be around people, so she began working at McDonalds and then Dagwoods Subs.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown.
Diane enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, baking, sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Diane is survived by her dad, Donald Cary, of Watson, MN; two daughters: Becky (Richard) Kohn of Watertown and Michelle (Bob) Jensen of Watertown; four grandchildren: Dustin (Marisa) Johnson, Kristin Johnson and fiancé Ashton Brown, Ashley Jensen and Emily Jensen; four great-grandchildren: Ian, Leah and Owen Johnson and Dallas Hawbecker; two brothers: Denny (Donna) Olson of Bennington, NE, and Dale (Janine) Cary of Montevideo, MN; two brothers-in-law: Dennis (Anne) Myhre of Granite Falls, MN, and Bruce (Janine) Myhre of Montgomery, TX; and two sisters-in-law: Donna (Floyd) Hilbrands of Clara City, MN, and Nancy (Richard) Lohmann of Lake Elmo, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean; one son, John; her father, Manfred; her mother, Irene; and her father and mother in-law, Donald and Cleo.
