Douglas Althoff Obituary
Douglas R. "Doug" Althoff, age 59, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at a hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. There will be no funeral services.
Arrangements are being handled by Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown, SD.
Private graveside services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Waverly, SD.
Doug was born on December 6, 1956, to Virgil and Rosemary (McMahon) Althoff, in Webster, SD. After attending school in Waverly, he worked at various construction sites around the United States. Doug was a very enthusiastic Winchester collector, obtaining many items over the years.
He also enjoyed billiards, hunting and fishing. He thoroughly enjoyed Classic Muscle Cars.
Doug is survived by his children: Ryan (Meike) Althoff of Harker Heights, TX, Reed Althoff of Springfield, SD, Rick Althoff and Ranna Jo Althoff, both of Sioux Falls, SD; one grandchild, Ryleigh Althoff; his brothers: Vince (Marie) Althoff of Wallace, SD, and Darwin Althoff (special friend Vicki Vansickle) of Watertown, SD; and his sister, Marilyn Althoff, of Rapid City, SD.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
