Jayden James Harley, age 17, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the hospital in Watertown. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017, at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Rev. Iver Possehl will officiate. Visitation will take place at the chapel on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Burial will be at a later date. Honorary pallbearer will be Jaxen Woodland. Active pallbearers will be: Andrew Henman, Logan Vanderzee, Jaron Schlechter, Ian Huber, Ty Turner, Jayden Wilkens, Spencer Booze and Tyler Frensko.
Jayden was born on April 13, 2000, at Watertown, SD, to Christopher Harley and Amanda Woodland. He was baptized at Mt. Olive Church in Watertown. Jayden had just completed his Sr. year, graduating from Watertown High School on Sunday, May 28. He was planning on attending LATI to work towards an automotive degree. Jayden was currently working in food service at Harry's in Watertown.
He enjoyed football, wrestling and reading. He especially enjoyed video games and gaming, making sure his siblings knew how to play as well. Jayden loved spending time with his family and friends.
Jayden is survived by his mother, Amanda Woodland, and his stepfather, Case Vanderzee, of Watertown; his father, Christopher Harley, and his wife, Teri, of Amarillo, TX; four brothers: Andrew Henman, Logan Vanderzee and Jaxen Woodland of Watertown and William Harley of Amarillo; three sisters: Sierra Vanderzee of Watertown and Karina Harley and Desirae Harley both of Amarillo; his maternal grandmother, Julie Woodland, of Watertown and maternal grandfather, James Woodland, of Clark, SD; and his paternal grandmothers, Belinda "Nana" Hutchison of Amarillo and Joleen (Charles) Kraai of Castlewood, SD.
