Jean Lindner Obituary
Jean R. Lindner, age 71, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at a hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
There will be a private family burial at a later date.
Jean was born on October 18, 1943, in Chicago, IL, to Carl and June (Fischer) Glander.
She graduated from Watertown High School in 1962.
After graduation she attended Northern State Teacher's College in Aberdeen, SD, for two years.
On August 26, 1967, Jean married Dennis Lindner at Holy Name Catholic Church in Watertown.
The couple raised their children and made their home in Watertown.
Jean worked various jobs in the food industry.
She retired from food management at Lincoln Elementary School.
She enjoyed tending to her flower garden, fishing, spending time outdoors and baking pies.
She loved everything about the holidays, particularly decorating and baking.
Jean's favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dennis, of Watertown; two sons: Jess (Michele) Lindner and Daren (Wendi) Lindner, both of Watertown; four grandchildren; two brothers: Terry (Judy) Glander of Clinton, IA, and Carl Jr. (Carol) Glander of Brookings, SD; and one brother-in-law, Dean Limberg, of Aberdeen, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Collette Limberg.
There will be a private family burial at a later date.
