** Please note the location of Mary Frances' visitation. Mary Frances Mack, age 90, of Castlewood, SD, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018, at a hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
She was the widow of Anthony L. Mack. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kranzburg, SD. The celebrant will be Fr. Ken Koster. Music will be provided by Eileen Lindner as organist with the Holy Rosary Church Choir and Marie Coon and Pylar Gibson as vocalists. The family is requested to meet at the church on Friday by 10:15 a.m. for a prayer service.
Visitation will be held at the church in Kranzburg on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Scripture Wake Service. The visitation will continue on Friday morning prior to services. Arrangements are being handled by the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel of Watertown, SD.
Burial will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Kranzburg. Pallbearers will be Mary Frances' grandchildren: Troy Mack, Chad Mack, Trent Mack, Adam Raml, Grant Raml and Ben Olsen and a great-grandson, Coby Mack.
Mary Frances was born on November 3, 1927, at Watertown, SD, to Wencel and Frances (Lindner) Lindner. She attended Holy Rosary Catholic School in Kranzburg.
On May 20, 1950, Mary Frances married Anthony L. Mack at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The couple spent over 60 years living and working on their farm. Mary Frances raised their family and also took care of many others. Anthony preceded her in death on October 25, 2011, and she continued to make her home on the family farm where she lived for seven more years.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Holy Rosary Altar Society and the church choir. Mary Frances enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, baking and yardwork. She loved to read and to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary Frances is survived by her four children: Eugene "Gene" (Carol) Mack and Kevin Mack all of Castlewood, SD, Virginia (Phillip) Raml of Watertown and Joan (Greg) Gibson of Goodwin, SD; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; one daughter, Angela; one granddaughter, Symone Gibson; her parents; one brother, Edward Lindner; and three sisters: Margaret Richter, Helen Lindner and Clara Lindner.
