Patricia Cusack Obituary
Patricia A. "Pat" Cusack, age 75, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at a care center in Watertown. She was the widow of Richard Cusack. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Watertown. Fr. Michael Wensing will be the celebrant. Music will be provided by Donna Williams as organist with Blaine Martian as soloist. The family is requested to meet at the church on Tuesday by 10:00 a.m. for a prayer service.
Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Scripture Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Burial will take place on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery in Watertown. Active pallbearers will be Cory Heyn, Kyle Marquardt, Robin Marquardt, Cole Heyn and Denny Weber.
Pat was born on September 14, 1940, in Watertown, to Joesph and Mamie (Raschke) Heyn. She graduated from Goodwin High School in Goodwin, SD, and attended college at Madison, SD for one year.
In 1969 Pat married Richard Cusack in Watertown, where the couple continued to live. Pat worked in the bookkeeping department at Watertown Wholesale for many years. Her most recent job was at Premier Bank, where she worked until her retirement.
She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Pat was an avid reader. She enjoyed golfing, crocheting, knitting and needlepoint. Most importantly was her love for her grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her children: Mike Heyn of Hibbing, MN, Jo (Bob) Marquardt of Watertown, SD, and Nancy Cusack of Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren: Cory Heyn and Kyle Marquardt, both of Watertown, SD, Robin Marquardt of Minneapolis, MN, Nikki Heyn of Babbitt, MN, Melissa Heyn of Milwaukee, WI, and Cole Heyn of Hibbing, MN; and 4 great-grandchildren: Ralph Porter and Alyssa Heyn, both of Milwaukee, WI, Laycen Heyn of Mellette, SD, and Lexa Barsness of Babbitt, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Ronnie Heyn; and one grandson, Michael Heyn, Jr.
