Andrew was born to Melody LaBatte on June 11, 1976, in Sisseton, SD.
Andrew spent summers at his Grandpa Rueben's farm playing with his twin brother and cousins during his boyhood years. He graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1995. He attended college at the National American University in Rapid City. In a marriage with Rebecca Thooft, he was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Sheyenne and Skylar. His daughters meant the world to him. He loved them so much.
Andy's employment began at a very young age that shaped his work ethic that followed him throughout his life. He had a drive to excel in everything he did. Andy began his Federal Government Service in 2002 with the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Andy and the "love of his life" Elizabeth Berndt were stationed at the Ford Berthold Agency for the last six and a half years.
Andy loved his Vikings so much that he was a walking history book about them. Andy had a fascination with his aquarium filled with atypical fish most recently the African Cichlid species. Andy had a love for music. It was very rare to find him without his earbuds listening to his favorites. Andy loved documentaries and researching history. He could always find time for a little Xbox or Playstation action!
A "perfect" relaxing day for Andy would be a big steak on the grill, Liz not having to work overtime and teaching Liz a few moves on one of his favorite games.
