Brady Gene Black, 42, died December 31, 2019 from complications of Guillian Barre Syndrome in Cebu City, Philippines.
Brady is survived by his wife, JoAnne Black; his children, Aidan Black and Conner Black; his mother, Doris Black; his brother, Brett Black (Michelle); his sisters Marcy Mack and Kelcy Black; nieces Morgan Harty (Matthew), Kendra Mack, and Grace Black; nephews Wyatt Mack, Ryder Mack, and Cooper Black; a great nephew Oscar Harty; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Brady was born in Watertown, South Dakota on April 7, 1977 to Gene and Doris Black. He was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown.
He graduated from Watertown Senior High School in 1995. He retired from the Air Force June 1, 2018 after 22 years. He was a Master Sergeant.
Brady enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, the Minnesota Vikings, and his family. He made a career in the Air Force traveling to Afghanistan, Turkey, Jordan, Germany, South Korea and England. On one of his deployments to South Korea he met JoAnne Lopez. Brady and JoAnne were married September 15, 2010. Upon retiring from the Air Force, Brady joined his wife and son, Conner, in the Philippines and currently resided there.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Black, and his nephew, Mitchell Mack.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Watertown. Military rights will be provided by the Ellsworth Air Force Base Funeral Honors Team.
