Cindy L. Siebrecht

Cindy L. Siebrecht, age 58, of Watertown, SD, formerly of Huron, SD, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2018, at a local care center. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Pastor Steve Biswell will officiate. The family is requested to meet at the chapel on Monday by 1:30 p.m. for a prayer service. Visitation will be prior to the memorial service. Burial will be held on a later date at Altoona Cemetery in Hitchcock, SD. Cindy was born on April 17, 1960, in Huron, SD to Stanley LeGrand, Sr. and Delores (Bies) LeGrand. She attended Wolsey High School and graduated in 1978. She then moved to Custer, SD and worked at Blue Bell Lodge before moving to Minneapolis, MN. On May 21, 1983, Cindy married Jerry Siebrecht in Redfield, SD. To this union, three children were born. Together, they farmed on the family farm in Ashton, SD before moving to Highmore, SD to work on a pig farm. Cindy moved to Iroquois, SD to work at Dakota Pork, and made her home in Huron in 1991, where she lived until 2012 when she moved to Watertown. Cindy was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was an avid Minnesota sports fan, and enjoyed playing cards, going to bingo, and fishing. She, never missing a game, loved cheering on her kids at sporting events. Cindy's family and friends will remember her as a sociable person, having many friends at Jenkins Living Center, and most importantly, as an incredibly loving grandmother to her grandchildren. Cindy is survived by her children: Ashley (Adam) Heinrich, of Watertown, SD, Amber Siebrecht, of Rapid City, SD, and Aaron (Ashton) Siebrecht, of Sioux Falls, SD; her five grandchildren; two brothers: Stanley LeGrand, Jr., of Winona, MN, and Wayne (Nancy) LeGrand, of Rapid City, SD; and one sister, Denise (Greg) Ryan, of Hudson, WI. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley, Sr. and Delores; one granddaughter, Britian; and one brother, Roger.
