Dale Davis Obituary
Dale D. Davis, age 56, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly Watertown, SD, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2018, in French Camp, CA. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018, at Peace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Rev. Chris Matson will officiate. The family is requested to meet by 1:30 p.m. at the church.
Visitation will be on Friday from 12-2 p.m. at the church, prior to the service. Arrangements by Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel.
Dale was born on July 14, 1962, to Donovan and Gail (Painter) Davis, in Watertown. He attended schools in Rush City, MN, Castlewood, SD and Watertown. Dale drove truck for several years and then sold cars in Watertown. He moved to Cambridge, MN, where he co-owned a manufactured home dealership. In 2007 Dale returned to trucking, which he was doing at the present time.
On February 10, 1990, Dale was united in marriage to Karen Appelhof. Their son Jack was born on January 28, 2003. Dale enjoyed golfing, motorcycles, playing cards and visiting with friends and family.
Dale is survived by his wife, Karen and his son, Jack, both of Sioux Falls, SD; his mother, Gail Davis of Watertown, SD; his brothers: Kent Davis of Sioux Falls, SD, Lee (Susie) Davis of Watertown, SD, and Terry (Jenny) Davis of Tea, SD; his mother-in-law, Susie Appelhof of Sioux Falls, SD; his sisters-in-law, Kristi Gast and Laura (Herb) Quam, both of Watertown, SD; his brother-in-law, Rob (Melissa) Appelhof of Blaine, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donovan Davis; his father-in-law, Robert "Bob" Appelhof, and his brother-in-law, Mark Gast.
