Donna Marotz Obituary
Donna Marie Marotz, age 63, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019, surrounded by family. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date. Donna was born on August 11, 1956, in Watertown, SD, to DeWayne and Berness (Meland) Marotz.
She attended and graduated from Watertown High School. Upon graduation, she began working as a waitress at The Other Place Café where she was employed for 25 years.
Donna then began working at Dakotaland Manufacturing as a machine worker where she spent the last 19 years. In 1993, Donna started dating the love of her life, Paul Engels.
Paul had four children, whom she treated just like her own.
Donna and Paul enjoyed playing darts at the Winners Casino and absolutely adored her pets, Gizmo, Buffy and Smokie Jo, whom she considered her children.
Donna is survived by her step-children: Maria Engels of Brandon, SD, Jeremy Engels of Brandon, SD, Lisa (Nate) Gagliano of LaPorte, CO, and Jay (Donna) Engels of Largo, FL; brothers: William "Bill" Marotz, Glenn Marotz, and Charles "Chuck" (Rita) Marotz all of Watertown, SD; and seven grandchildren. Donna is preceded in death by her fiancé, Paul Engels and parents, DeWayne and Berness Marotz.
