Draco Sitter Obituary
Draco B. Sitter opened his angel wings and flew home to Jesus on July 29, 2019, rocking in his mommy's arms.
He was the infant son of Jessie and Jessica Sitter. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2019, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Frederick, SD. Pastor Justin Brotzel will officiate. Visitation will be prior to the service at the church. Draco was born on August 17, 2016, as a twin, in Aberdeen, SD. He lived the life of a normal child for the first 18 months of his life.
After that, Draco stopped eating and crawling as his muscles began deteriorating.
At 22 months they began doing genetic testing on him and at 24 months old he was diagnosed with Leigh Syndrome. Draco's mom described him as the best person she has ever met in her life.
He was so full of joy and never took anything for granted.
He was the type of person we all strive to be.
Draco was so smart and could show you where his hair, nose and mouth were located.
It was rare to find him without a smile on his face.
He smiled through every poke and prod and gave his parents a smile the night before his death signaling he was going to be okay.
In his short 35 months, Draco taught everyone that no matter what hell we go through in life, give it your all and enjoy every bit of it. Draco is survived by his parents, Jessie and Jessica of Hayti, SD; his siblings, Aidan, Alexis, Anna, and his twin, Eben; his grandparents, John and Karen Brotzel of Frederick, SD, and Andy and Mona Sitter of Aberdeen, SD; and his great-grandparents, Jim and Diane Sitter and Bob Brotzel, all of Aberdeen, SD. Draco is preceded in death by his brother, Phoenix; and his great-grandparents, LaDonna Brotzel, Harold and Anna Schlosser and Pauline Reszler.
