*** PLEASE NOTE DATE OF SERVICE *** Glenn D. Konrady, age 79, longtime resident of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Avantara Care Center in Lake Norden, SD.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Pastor Steve Biswell will officiate.
The family is requested to be at the chapel on Saturday by 10:00 a.m. for a prayer service. Visitation will be prior to service.
Glenn was born on June 8, 1940, in Henry, SD, to Vernon and Violet (Moren) Konrady.
He attended high school in Watertown.
Moving from South Dakota he had resided in Colorado, Texas and California over the years and returned back to Watertown.
He was a hard worker and experienced in all areas of construction.
In his prime, Glenn was known for his quality high end carpentry skills.
New construction, remodels and custom work were areas he was an expert in. Glenn loved his family and friends. He loved his pets. He loved life. Glenn loved sharing his experiences and knowledge with others.
He will be greatly and sadly missed. Some of the things Glenn enjoyed was having a good laugh, telling stories, playing cards, a cold beer, watching Nascar, reading, a cup of coffee, sour cream raisin pie and big hugs. Glenn is survived by his children: Glenda Lee of
Missouri, Vince Konrady of South Dakota and Bob Konrady of California; brother, Dennis Konrady of Oregon; sisters, Connie Wade of California and Brenda Latunski of South Dakota; 4 grandchildren: Glenn, Bobby, Matthew and Jimmy; 2 great-grandchildren: Anthony and Maya; 1 great-great-grandchild Avalynn and several nieces and nephews. Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Violet; brother, Vince Konrady and daughter, Shelly Campbell.
