Glenn Wipf Obituary
Glenn B. Wipf, age 93, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019, at Jenkins Living Center. Visitation will be Thursday, December 26, 2019, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown, from 2-4 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen, SD. Glenn was born to Joe S. and Mary (Kleinsasser) Wipf on January 14, 1926, in Frankfort, SD. He had three brothers: Alvin, Edgar, and Willis.
He grew up there where his parents were farmers. Glenn married Wanda Hofer on Feb. 2, 1947, and they were married till her death in February 2011.
The couple had lived in Doland, farmed in Spink County, and moved to the Watertown area in 1984. Glenn was proud to be part of the Air Force and a Veteran of World War II.
He had a great sense of humor, and his words of wisdom to future generations were "try to be honest". Glenn is survived by several nieces and nephews.
