James A. Cram, age 31, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Gayle Small will officiate. The family is requested to meet at the chapel by 9:30 a.m. for a prayer service. Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Friday, May 3, 2019, from 4-8 p.m. and prior to services at the chapel on Saturday. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.
Honorary pallbearers will be his sons, Maison and Jax Cram, his nephew, Jaeden Cram, and his cousins, Irv and Marv Schoenwetter.
Active pallbearers will be Aaron Cram, Trevor Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Danny Johnson, Jaime Schmeling and Mark Brueggeman. James was born on February 16, 1988, in Watertown, SD, to Rhonda Cram.
He attended school in Watertown and then went to work for Terex where he loved working in the paint booth.
He worked for Veeders Collision Center and most recently went to work for Auto Body Solutions at Watertown Ford. Beginning at a young age, James began fixing and tinkering on race cars.
Many would say that he was always around to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, whether in a garage, a race shop, or in the pits at a race track.
He loved hunting and fishing, riding dirt bikes, four wheelers and snowmobiles, and any other activities that he could do with his boys Maison (11) and Jax (7).
He will be remembered for being the life of the party and always having a smile on his face. James is survived by his sons, Maison and Jax of Watertown, SD; his mother, Rhonda Cram of Sioux Falls, SD; one brother, Aaron Cram of Sioux Falls, SD; two sisters, Kristina Cram of Sioux Falls, SD, and Skyler Cram of Worthing, SD; his grandma, Judy Cram of Watertown, SD; nephew, Jaeden Cram; and his niece, Scarlett Frick. James is preceded in death by his grandpa, Wayne Cram and his aunt, Andrea Vo.
