Jeremy Buol Obituary
Jeremy J. Buol, age 40, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown. Rev. Janet Miller will officiate. Music will be provided by James Erickson and Stephanie Bleeker as soloists. The family is requested to meet at the church on Thursday by 1:30 p.m. for a family prayer service.
Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service and will continue prior to services at the church on Thursday.
Burial will be at a later date at the Onida Cemetery, Onida, SD. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy's co-workers at Grangaard Construction. Active pallbearers will be: Dan Starzl, Dan Stanton, Jason Bleeker, Ryan Neal, Cody Barse, Marty Bitz, Dusty Starzl and Mike Woertink.
Jeremy was born on March 11, 1977, in Pierre, SD, to Jim Stimson and Sandi Buol Benthin. Following graduation from Watertown High School, Jeremy managed his own crew constructing grain bins. Later, he worked on building bridges for Grangaard Construction where he was currently employed.
He enjoyed fishing, spending time with friends and telling stories. Jeremy loved his nieces and nephews and all his friends' kids like they were his own.
Jeremy is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sandi (Larry) Benthin, and his father, Jim Stimson, all of Watertown; his brothers: Jared (Jennifer) Stimson of Severna Park, MD, Joel (Miranda) Stimson of Watertown, SD, Justin (Tracy) Benthin of Brookings, SD, and Jeremy Benthin of Henry, SD, his sisters:
JoLynn (Mike) Jensen of Elkton, SD and Teri Carter, of Pierre, SD; his nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his friends and coworkers.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Charlotte Lieser; his great-grandmother, Ann McBride; one uncle, Sam Buol; and one cousin, Tessa Spainhower.
