Joey Lawrence Livermore, 88, beloved by his family, went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2018 in Texas.
Joey was born on December 29, 1929 in Canby, Minnesota to Lawrence J. Livermore and Agnes M. Livermore.
He is survived by his two sisters, Waneta A. Anderson and Ramona R. Gribble both of Watertown.
Joey served in the US Navy aboard the USS Juneau during the Korean War.
His ship, the USS Juneau, fired the first shot of the Korean War.
In 1952 Joey married the love of his life, Martha M. Nielsen of Dawson, Minnesota.
They had one daughter, Beth Rowe, who resides in Texas.
Joey and Martha lived in Watertown and then in Escondido and Cardiff by the Sea, California for many years.
Joey was a watchmaker/jeweler by trade.
They returned to retire in Watertown in 1987.
Martha preceded him in death in 1989 after a prolonged illness.
Joey was married to Mary B. Kiderowski from 1993 until her death in 2017.
They resided in Watertown.
Joey has four grandchildren: Nathan Hibbs of Oregon, Nick Hibbs of Texas, Angela Clark of Texas and Laurel Fendrich of Missouri.
He has seven great-grandchildren: Branden and Christopher, Ian and Noah, Drew and Preston, and Clara Rose.
Services will be held at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown, South Dakota at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 18th, 2018 in the chapel.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.
Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Frank H. Adams Post #750 of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Codington County Post #17 of the American Legion, both of Watertown, and the Funeral Honors Team of the U.S. Navy.
Refreshments and fellowship will take place at the funeral chapel after the burial.
Honorary Pallbearers are Nathan Hibbs, Nick Hibbs, Larry Anderson, Randy Gribble, Kevin Gribble, and Todd Gribble.
