Judy Resel Obituary
Judith Marie Resel, age 69, of Sun City, AZ, formerly of Watertown, SD, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019, in Sun City. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2019. at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel. Fr. Michael Wensing will officiate.
Visitation will be at the chapel on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. and also prior to the service on Friday.
Judy was born on June 19, 1950, to Milfred "Mickey" and Teresa (Lamers) Ward, in Browns Valley, MN. After graduating from Wilmot High School, she attended secretarial college in Aberdeen. Judy then moved to Watertown, where she first worked at Fleet Wholesale and then at the Human Service Agency, where she worked for 40 years. Judy was united in marriage to Wayne Resel in October of 1987 in Aberdeen, SD. The couple moved to Arizona in 2012.
She enjoyed golfing, bowling, crocheting, cooking and baking. Judy was a member of Silver Club in Sun City and she was the president of their Home Owners Association.
Judy is survived by her husband, Wayne of Sun City, AZ; her mother, Teresa Ward of Watertown, SD; her son, Jason (Izabella) Dehnert of Phoenix, AZ; her sister, Kathy (Tommy) Miller of Waco, TX; her nephew, Michael Miller of Austin, TX; two step-children; and four step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father.
