Julianne Kass Obituary
Julianne M. (Spartz) Kass passed away at a Hospice House on February 1, 2019 at the age of 68 near her residence of Poulsbo, WA. Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 10th, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Kranzburg, SD.
Fr. Kenneth Koster will be the celebrant.
Music will be provided by Eileen Lindner.
The family is requested to meet at the church by 2:00 p.m on Sunday for reciting the rosary.
Burial will be at a later date. Julie was born April 4, 1950 in Watertown, SD to Joseph and Jeanette (Endres) Spartz.
She attended Holy Rosary Catholic grade School at Kranzburg, and graduated from Waverly High School in 1968.
Julie attended Watertown Business University and was employed at St. Ann's Hospital and Watertown Regional Library.
Later she was a certified librarian at Mundt Library in Madison, SD and then at Suguamish Elementary and Kingston High Schools of Poulsbo WA.
She retired in 2015. Julie was united in marriage to Terry Kass of Watertown on August 23, 1969 at Holy Rosary Church of Kranzburg, SD.
Terry passed away October 15, 1993. Julie is survived by her daughter Jessica (Kass) White and her husband Joshua White, Port Orchard, WA; one grandson Jordan and three step-granddaughters McKenna, Ellison and Annika White.
Other survivors include her mother Jeanette Spartz of Kranzburg, SD; her siblings JoAnn (Ken) Comes of Waverly, SD; Leon (Angel) Spartz of Kranzburg, SD; brother-in-law Jim (Sandy) Kass of Alaska, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Terry Kass, her father Joseph Spartz and in-laws Nick and Bea Kass, brother-in-law Nick Kass and sister-in-law Dee Kass.
